We have purchased an overstock lot of comforter shells. Our primary down supplier tested
every downproof cotton from around the world before selecting these shells as the next
best alternative to German milled Egyptian cotton. It is a 270 count cambric weave, which
is the most stable and durable weave for its weight. We have both baffled box shells for
warmer comforters and sewn through shells available.
We still have some shells made in Germany from the finest Egyptian cotton. In our
30 years of comforter making we have found this to be the best combination of durability,
soft feel, and downproofness. Higher thread count fabrics than this are easy to find, but
durability is sacrificed by using smaller threads.
These listed shells are not yet filled with down. Please allow one to two weeks to fill
and finish the comforters.
