Please note: we will be at Bridge Creek group site again this year. Free camping is extremely limited and first come-first served. If you arriving on Saturday evening we will most likely be full. There are plenty of other options in the valley for camping and many hotels in Leavenworth.

Can anyone come? What if I'm a beginning climber?
Absolutely. This festival is mostly intended for the climber new to the sport. All of our reps will be here to show you the latest gear, equipment and techniques. No question will be too basic and it will give you an opportunity to meet other folks who are getting into the sport as well.

What if I can onsite 5.15?
Then no, you can't come.

Can my kids come?
Yes - this is a very family friendly event. Note: there may be folks drinking alcoholic beverages in the campground, so it is up to you if you want them exposed to that. We will be keeping a close eye on crowd behavior and will remove folks who are ruining the event for everyone else.

Can my dog come?
Yes. However, per campground rules, it must be leashed at all times.

How are campsites organized? Are they free?
Thanks to Black Diamond and The Alta Group (representing Petzl, Atomic, Sea to Summit and Julbo sunglasses) all camping is free, however it is first come-first serve. Folks will usually head out there after work on Friday, and it will fill up. Plan accordingly.

This year the free camping sites will be pretty limited. Please respect the grounds and adhere to the posted no parking / no camping signs. The rangers will be present and strictly enforcing these regulations.

What about food? Do I need to bring food?
The Saturday evening BBQ is brought to you by the Alta Group and Black Diamond. All other meals will be up to you.

So what's going on Saturday night?
Well, it usually goes like this: folks will start coming back from the clinics, then we'll fire up the BBQ's. After dinner we'll start up the World Famous Rockfest Raffle.

Where does the money raised go?
All proceeds from the raffle go straight to the Washington Climber's Coalition, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving access to our great climbing areas. They are the Northwest affiliate of the Access Fund.

This year will be especially important. All funds raised from Rockfest will go towards the land purchase at Index. We've all climbed there - let's make sure we keep it safe from development!
