The Hyperion Vest takes the Helios Vest a big step lighter. The pockets are streamlined and the lycra is omitted to reduce the weight. We leave the chambers large enough to let the 850 fill down loft freely insteard of over-stitching like most other super-light down vests. The Hyperion is perfect for cold endurance activities such as backcountry skiing or summertime backpacking. The vest packs smaller than a water bottle and you will hardly notice it is in your pack. The Hyperion is omparable in weight, pack size and price as a fleece vest, but provides superior warmth and wind protection without compromise.
