Position: Retail Store Manager (Permanent/Full-Time)
Job description/Primary responsibilities: Manager for well established climbing
and backpacking store in Seattle. We are looking for someone with the motivation
and commitment to push the store to achieve its unrealized potential. For thirty years,
Feathered Friends products have set the standard for quality in outdoor down products.
The manager will be assisted by an able, experienced staff, who deserve organization,
leadership, and vision.
Interested applicants should have:
- Experience as manager of a store with at
least 5 employees, or assistant manager in
- larger store, or equivalent management
experience.
- Outstanding communication and customer
service skills
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- A proven record of increasing sales
- A wide knowledge of the outdoor industry
- Working experience with computerized point
of sale/inventory management systems, business management reporting
and spread sheets
- Desire for a long-term commitment.
- Priority will be given to applicants with
the most directly relevant outdoor sports retail management experience.
Additional plusses:
- Depth of climbing experience
- A record of working in the wider community
- Business schooling, Outdoor industry contacts
Salary and Benefits: Salary and performance bonus are commensurate with management
experience and demonstrated results.
